Tip of the Day: Remove Broken Light Bulb with a Potato
If a light bulb breaks in the process of removing it from the lamp, don’t risk cutting yourself! Instead, head to the kitchen to grab a potato! Slice the spud in half, unplug the lamp, remove any loose broken glass, and now, press the fleshy side of the potato into the metal stem of the bulb. You will be able to twist the bulb to remove it (lefty loosie righty tighty). The broken glass stems will have sunk into the potato. Dispose carefully.
