If the holidays left your tablecloths (or anything else) with red wine stains, unfortunately, the quicker you act the better. Even so, try this on past and future stains: blot dry then cover with salt (for older stains, wet the area first). The crystals will absorb the wine and pull it out of the fibers. Let this set for awhile, then brush off, rinse with hot water, and launder as usual.
