Tip of the Day: Salads Stay Crisp & Green with Foil
To ensure you have a fresh, long-lasting salad, store the greens in a foil pan. Cover with more aluminum foil. The foil will trap moisture inside the lettuce thus keeping it crisp. Also, ethylene gas is kept out. This is caused from other fruits and veggies in your refrigerator that causes lettuce to go bad. Another tip is to keep this foil tray on the fridge’s top shelf where it will be slightly warmer. Too much frosty air makes greens wilt faster.
