Tip of the Day: Tea Bags Keep Cast Iron Pots Rust-Free
If you love the way you food tastes from cooking in a cast iron pot or pan but not the unappetizing rust in the pan that forms after it’s been cleaned, you can prevent this. After washing and drying as usual, rub your vessels down with a damp tea bag. The tannins in the tea will create an invisible protective layer that prevents rust-causing oxidation. Your pots and pans will look brand new!
