During your dinner if someone spills red wine on your tablecloth, head for a bottle of white wine! Ideally, splash the white over the red while still wet. The proteins in the white wine will counteract the red wine proteins thus lifting out the stain quickly. Follow up with a gentle soap scrub and wash as usual and your tablecloth should not show any tele tale signs!
