Don’t fret when a glob of toothpaste lands on your faucet! Instead, use it and some more to remove the hard-water stains that cause a film on your water source and handles. This will work with non-gel toothpaste only. Spread thin on the metal surfaces and wait 10 minutes. Then buff off with a soft cloth. The detergents in the paste rid scum and hard-water marks and will also prevent new ones from forming on your faucet.
