I know it’s tempting to use the soil from your former plant on your brand new one. DO NOT! There was a reason it died, whether you saw what it was or not. Spider mites, aphids, or other little crawlers, even fungus may be hiding in the soil ready to infect the next plant. Best case scenario the soil’s nutrients have been depleted. Protect your new plant against future problems with new, fresh soil!
