Tip of the Day: Garden Spreaders Clean Up with Baking Soda

Posted on : 05-06-2021 | By : georginesaves | In : Tip of the day

Our trusty garden spreaders help us spread grass seed, fertilizer, lime and more much easier than by hand. Over time, the acids in these elements tends to clump and clog the spreader’s rotary. It can also eat away at the blades. To prevent this, hose down the spreader after each use, then sprinkle liberally with baking soda. This will neutralize the acid from any remaining fertilizer and also coat the blades with powder that will repel the corrosive elements each time you use it.
