Tip of the Day: How To Clean Your Rubber Garden Hose
Rubber hoses are a staple in the Summer. They water our lawns and flowers and vegetables, help wash our cars, sidewalks, and more, but certainly, every child you know has at least once taken a swig out of the garden hose for refreshment. UGH! Algae and germs and bacteria form and breed inside this warm, moist tool. To clean yours, bathe it in a wheelbarrow or kiddie pool filled with water and 8 cups of white vinegar. Let it sit for a few hours, then run the water through the hose to rinse out.
