Tip of Day: Do NOT Run Cold Water on a Hot Pan!

If you douse a hot pan with cold water you can reduce the pan’s life span. Metal expands when heated and will shrink naturally when it cools. If you change this temperature suddenly it will cause thermal shock. If this is done repeatedly, you pan will warp and wobble on the burner. Also, your food will cook unpredictably. Wait for your pan to cool off or be sure to use hot water.
