Tip of the Day: Flush Sinks with Hot Water to Avoid Clogs
If you flush your sinks, especially the one in the kitchen, with hot water, not boiling, once a week you can clear the pipes from greasy build-up from dirty pots and pans. These liquid fats are what clog the plumbing when they harden. The hot water will melt the grease and fat and also dislodge and move any gunk down before it can congeal and cause you a headache.
