Tip of the Day: Disinfect Vacuum Cleaner Brushes to Avoid Spreading Germs
Did you know the powerheads and brushes on your vacuum cleaner probably will test positive for germs like fecal bacteria and mold spores? These get spread around every time you vacuum! UGH! An easy fix is to spray the underside of the heads and brushes after each use with Lysol, Clorox, or other disinfectant products. Researchers at the University of Arizona found this will kill 100% of the germs on contact. Since these spritzes of germ killers evaporate quickly, they won’t damage any surfaces.
