If you’ve been puttering around the attic or basement and come across a book you’d like to read or re-read but it has a musty smell, you can deodorize it with cornstarch. Fan out the pages and sprinkle as many as yo can. Let sit overnight. Using an old makeup brush, clean the pages. The cornstarch is absorbent so it draws out the dampness on the paper. Happy reading!
