Tip of the Day: Revive Wooden Cutting Boards with Coconut Oil
If your trusty wooden cutting board is looking dry and a little dingy, revive it with coconut oil. Wash the board as usual, then, add a drop the size of a nickel to a clean cloth and smear into the wood. The oil will seep into the crevices to stop water from getting inside. This is what causes the board to split and crack. The antibacterial properties of the coconut oil keeps it safe and sanitary. Do this every few weeks to prolong the life of your board.
