Tip of the Day: Flat Soda? Add to Roasts!
If your favorite cola, root beer, or ginger ale is flat, don’t toss it! Save it to braise a pot roast, shoulder roast, or brisket. How? Replace half the liquid in the recipe with the soda and cook as usual. The beverage’s acids will tenderize the tough meat and the sugars will caramelize while cooking thus enhancing the flavor!
