Tip of the Day: Skim Fat from Soup ASAP
It’s soup making weather! The next time your homemade soup has a layer of grease on top, rather than chilling it so you can skim off the fat which takes quite awhile, plus then you have to re-heat it, drop a few ice cubes into the pot. The excess fat will cling to the cold cubes so you can easily remove them with a slotted spoon. You’ll be ready to enjoy your delicious broth very quickly.
