Splats and splatters are the bane of opening a microwave oven after you zapped pasta or any other sauced meal. To ease the cleaning of this mess, soak a clean sponge in equal parts of white vinegar and water. Place in the microwave and heat for 30 seconds. Do NOT open the door right away, leave closed overnight. this will loosen any cooked-on food so you’ll be able to easily wipe clean with a paper towel.
