November is here! That means the holidays are right around the corner! But there’s a BIG holiday this month, Thanksgiving! And let’s not forget, Black Friday the day after! Unless you enjoy the crowds, the lines, the unruly customers, and weather conditions, you can do just as well right out of your own home, in your comfortable pants, from your computer! PLUS, there is Cyber Monday to gear up for.

That aside, in the stores, before Turkey Day, if you didn’t get enough sugar on Halloween, mostly every store will have Halloween candy 50% off. Once the outer wrappers are off no one is the wiser and the expiration dates are usually 6 months in the future or longer. also, while perusing the Halloween leftovers, look for decor and paper products you can use next year.

Getting married? It’s a good time to shop for your dream dress. The bridal shops are discounting last season’s styles.

Want to take a trip before the holiday hustle and bustle? Consider Disney World. It’s off season so they are offering deals; hurricane season is over, and the temperatures are still decent enough so you’ll enjoy your stay.

In the supermarket try to shop at one that offers a FREE turkey for your loyalty. Sales you should look for to add to your reward are baking supplies (Christmas cookies are not far off!) such as flour, sugar, baking chocolate and chips, and condensed milk. Combine coupons with specials on pie crusts, dinner rolls, frozen pies, cake mixes and frosting, nuts, dried fruits, oatmeal, and even soups and broth. If you can’t find coupons in the Sunday newspaper, try the individual company’s websites.

Get rest and brace yourself for the hectic, wonderful season that’s coming!
