#ad May is here! This means the flowers are in bloom and the weather will be warmer! There are two holidays this month: Mother’s Day (5-08) and Memorial Day (5-30). Shop online for a lighter Spring wardrobe of jackets and pants that will be reduced now to make room for swimsuits, shorts, tanks, and tees. Let’s not forget shoes and sandals! Retailers know lots of you will be shopping online so they are making it very attractive by having sales on Spring ensembles as well as Winter garments and footwear.

Since Mother’s Day is near you’ll get deals on housewares, flowers, fragrances, and jewelry so you can treat Mom, aunts, sister, and friends without straining your budget. If it’s time to ditch your old pots and pans now is a good time to replace as this is the time of year stores gear up for bridal season.

Having trouble sleeping on an uncomfortable and lumpy mattress? It’s your lucky month! Many stores will be having boudoir specials during the long Memorial Day weekend. You can save up to 50% off excess inventory.

Barbecues and picnics are on the calendar this month! Get picnic supplies, outdoor furniture, garden games, and garden supplies on sale at the big online retailers like Amazon, Target, and Walmart. If you need a new grill watch for specials, try The Home Depot they have FREE delivery too! Don’t forget lawn mowers! (before you buy a new mower, replace the stale gas from last year if it is still inside, fresh gas may be all your mower needs! Contact your town for proper disposal. Don’t over look leftover   patio sets and garden equipment models that may have been reduced.

At the grocery store, Look for Cinco de Mayo specials on tortilla chips, salsa, tortillas, margarita mixes, and more. Other sales will be on hot dogs, ground beef, buns, ketchup, mustard, pickles, BBQ sauce, relish, salad dressing, marinades, salad greens, chips, ice cream, frozen pies, bottled water, and soda so you can enjoy picnics and barbecues outdoor or inside. Since May is Celiac Disease Awareness Month, gluten-free foods will also be on sale. As for produce, you’ll find savings on artichokes, asparagus, avocados, beans, beets, blackberries, carrots, Vidalia onions, peas, potatoes, raspberries, and strawberries.

Prices continue to rise so if you are able to stock-up on non-perishable items, do so. You’ll be very glad next month when the prices may be even higher. Look for deals paper products that can be used all year long!
