Tip of the Day: Polish Silverware with Expired Milk

The next time you reach for the milk container and the best if used by date was 3 days ago, don’t toss it, instead mix 1 cup of the sour milk with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Place in a dish that will fit your silverware and let them soak for half an hour. The bacteria created during the fermenting process will break down the tarnish on your utensils. When finished wash with dish liquid and warm water. Buff for a shiny finish. You’ll never cry over expired milk again!
