I just hate when something I’m heating up in the microwave spits and splatters all over the oven! Before i can enjoy my food I have to clean up the mess or else it will harden and be very difficult to remove, right? If you loosely place a slightly damp coffee filter upside down as a cover this will help avoid most messes. If you are using a larger plate or bowl, a damp paper towel covering (leave a very small portion uncovered) works just as well! This works not only as a shield, but the porous paper allows steam to escape so your food won’t over heat.
