If your metal outdoor furniture developed rust over the Winter you can restore it with a pantry staple (maybe): cream of tartar. Simply make a paste of equal parts of cream of tartar and lemon juice. This combination creates a chemical reaction that will break down rust. Just apply, let sit for a few minutes, then wipe off.
