Tip of the Day: Remove Nail Polish from Carpeting
These days many of us are giving ourselves a self-manicure. Whether you do this regularly or are a novice, sometimes an oops happens and nail polish lands on the rug! Here’s what to do: first, blot the wet polish, then pour some pure acetone ( not regular polish remover) polish remover on a cloth and work into the carpet tufts, DON’T RUB! Once the polish is removed, dab the areas with warm sudsy water and then with clear water. Blot dry and fluff the pile. (Beauty and drug stores sell individually wrapped acetone wipes)
