There are lots of holidays in the shortest month of the year, February! Ground Hog Day, Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year (runs through the beginning of the month), and President’s Day! This means sales, sales, sales!!!  Valentine’s Day is on the 14th, but that can be  the most expensive day to buy flowers, fragrance, and chocolates. If you are ordering flowers, try to place your order early to take advantage of coupon code specials that can help take the price down and also to reserve your order. The real bargains, though, come on the 15th! If you aren’t seeing your honey until then or after, put off buying your acknowledgements of love. If you are planning a celebration on Saturday or Sunday (the 15th or 16th) buy your decorations and such on the 15th when they may be half-off.

If fragrances are your sweeties desire, many department stores will have gift extras when you buy so you’ll get more for your money. Don’t forget drug stores like CVS, Walgreens, or Rite-Aid. They might been adding coupon deals to their selections. Sexy women’s lingerie will be on display everywhere, especially at the specialty shops like Victoria’s Secret. Go there to get the best deals. Jewelry will be on sale, especially anything related to love, at larger stores like Macy’s, Walmart, and Bloomingdale’s. look for advertised specials.

Department stores are making room for Spring fashions as they consider Winter to be over. You can get a deal on a Winter coat as well as sweaters, and other warm clothing now. There will be plenty of time to wear these this year or save until next year.

Plan ahead for Summer too! Air conditioners and outdoor grills will start making appearance at your favorite stores. There will be a good selection and they will be less expensive now.

The holiday rush is over and it’s before Spring break so the prices on luggage are good and you’ll bag a deal.

After Valentine’s Day, you’ll find restaurants running specials. Some cities even have Restaurant Week which means a delicious meal for lot less than normal.

President’s Weekend is a great time to shop for a car. Whether leasing or buying you’ll save.

Getting married? Less weddings book before March due to unpredictable weather. So many vendors from photographers to bands have less bookings and are more willing to negotiate prices.

In the grocery store just about everything related to Valentine’s Day: candy, seafood, steak, red and heart-themed paper goods will be on sale on the 15th. Buy now and celebrate for a long time! Keep the paper goods until next year, unless you can get solid red colors that can be used for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day celebrations.

Spring is around the corner, but enjoy Winter’s sales.
