As we all know, at the first storm alert the supermarket shelves are cleared of bottled water and in the Winter rock salt. If you are unable to get either of these, you can substitute bags of ice for the water, it melts!!! Place in containers and by the time the storm hits you’ll have water. For the rock salt, any non-clumping kitty litter will do the trick. Also, be aware that most ATM machines won’t work if there’s no power so get to yours before the storm hits so you’ll have the cash you need.
