If you still have a Jack O’ Lantern you can preserve that pumpkin through Thanksgiving with a spritz of peppermint. In a spray bottle (get one at the Dollar Store) add a few drops of peppermint essential oil into a quart of water. Spritz the outside and cut areas of the gourd. Peppermint is a natural anti-fungal that will slow down and prevent the decomposition process. Now start preparing the turkey!
