Tip of the Day: Loosen Rusty Screws with Club Soda

If you are trying desperately to get that rusted screw loose but it won’t budge, try pouring some club soda over it. Let sit for 5 minutes. The carbon dioxide in the soda reacts with rust to bubble it away. You should be able to turn the screw. (For rusty screws on a wall, place a rag soaked in club soda over them).
