If your TV remote or any other battery-operated device works intermittently, stop banging it on a hard surface to get it to work properly! Check the springs in the battery compartment. If one or more has loosened during time, the battery doesn’t sit securely. To save your equipment, fold a piece of aluminum foil into a square or rectangle that fits when you insert it between the battery and loose spring. The foil will fill the extra space and maintain the contact. Now you can change the channels without frustration.
