If your hardwood floors have taken a beating through the years, you can restore the dents with your iron! First, set the iron to high heat, then, using a spray bottle filled with water, lightly spritz over the dents. Cover these areas with a wet cloth and iron in a circular motion for 3-5 minutes. The steam generated by the iron allows the wood to expand thus filling in the dents. ALWAYS test first in an inconspicuous spot to make sure your wood finish doesn’t turn white from this steam procedure.
