Tip of the Day: Extend Cut Onion’s Life
If you’ve ever tried to save half an onion you know its almost a waste of time and space. It usually goes bad before you can use it again. Try this next time: coat the surface of the cut onion with a thin layer of butter then wrap in aluminum foil and refrigerate. The fat in the butter creates an tight seal preventing bacteria from growing thus prolonging the onion’s life.
