Many of us have become too strict where package sell by dates are concerned. In reality, those dates don’t designate safety, but rather when the item is at it’s freshest. Most food can be consumed well beyond those dates. Did you know eggs are still good 3-5 weeks after the sell by date? The best way to find out what is the safest length you can keep food is to go to SaveTheFood.com and search.
