If your holiday silverware is looking dull and you want to spiff it up before the company arrives, try this: foil line a baking pan. add your silverware, then add 1/4 cup of boiling water and 1/4 cup of baking soda. Soak for 5 minutes then rinse with warm water. Your silverware will look as good as new because the mixing of the aluminum foil and baking soda creates a chemical reaction that breaks down tarnish.
