Tip of the Day: Give Bananas Longer Life

If your bananas ripen faster than you can eat them, wrap the stem of the bunch in aluminum foil as soon as you bring them home. The foil keeps the ethylene gas, which is what ripens the fruit, from reaching the rest of the bananas. Otherwise, make some banana bread with the over-ripe bananas!
