Tip of the Day: Smelly Carpets?

Winter can wreck havoc on carpeting. It doesn’t matter if it’s a doormat or a rug, constant traffic leaves dirt and odors. To deodorize yours, sprinkle 1/2 cup of borax mixed with 1/2 cup baking soda over your carpets (works great on upholstery too) and let sit overnight. In the morning, vacuum this all up and everything will smell like Spring.
