March usually means the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring! This month you can save BIG on Winter coats, boots, gloves, and hats. Look for leftovers that can be saved for next year or used throughout the month. If you like outdoor sports, skis, snowboards, sleds, and other Winter toys will be marked down.

March is Frozen Food Month. It’s a great time to stock your freezer with frozen meals, vegetables, ice cream, breakfast foods, and more. Start looking for coupons in the Sunday newspapers for extra savings or check Coupons.com often to see what easy-to-prepare frozen foods have been added.

If you are doing your own taxes, tax software will be on sale to help you out.

In addition to March Madness, sports fans can get deals on golf clubs and sets as new equipment inventory is starting to hit the shelves.

As we near St. Patrick’s Day (3-17), Corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes will be specially priced at supermarkets and grocery stores. If this is a meal you fancy more than once a year, buy several packages of corned beef to freeze for the next time you are in the mood.

Start watching for the Spring flowers!
