Tip of the Day: Soothe Minor Burns with Oatmeal

Let’s face it, especially in the kitchen, minor burns happen. If they do grab about a 1/2 cup dry oatmeal and mix with 1/4 cup of water. Let this sit for about a minute while you run the burn under cold water. Then, apply the oatmeal paste to the burned area and let sit for about 5 minutes. Rinse off with cold water. The oatmeal has anti-inflammatory properties that will relieve the pain quickly.
