If your sweater has become smaller in the clothes dryer, not because you’ve indulged in dessert all week, you can save it and return it to it’s original shape by soaking in a sink filled with warm water and one tablespoon of hair conditioner (use 1/3 cup for a wool sweater). Soak for 30 minutes. Then, lay flat on a dry towel and roll the garment up so it absorbs the water. Immediately unroll and gently tug all over the sweater. The oils in the conditioner will soften the fibers so you’ll be able to stretch the sweater back to it’s original shape.
