Many of us have high capacity washing machines. Even though they claim to wash 25 pounds of laundry, you will get cleaner clothing if you keep your loads smaller, no more than 3/4 full. Why? The more room in the machine, the more the agitator can spin freely. If you have a front-loader too few articles means there won’t be enough agitation so the 3/4 full works for you too.
