October means Fall is really here! We are in between Back-To-School and Black Friday so you’ll find deals on jeans, grills, lingerie, and, of course, Halloween costumes and accessories. Look for coupons from party stores to help you save on your Halloween celebration. I know the kids don’t want to wait, but if you need a costume and aren’t too concerned with pop culture, during the few days before the 31st you’ll get bargains. Also, many stores have Halloween candy and other treats at sale prices now, stock up before the big day to save.

Check around if you need a big appliance like washer, dryer, stove, etc. Many stores are getting in new models so you’ll save a bundle on last year’s inventory. This is also a popular wedding month, so look around to find discounts on small appliances like toasters, coffeemakers, and blenders too.

Book a flight on the weekend if you’re planning a getaway. Why? Business travelers usually book on weekdays (on the company’s dime) so airlines are looking to attract more price-sensitive and leisure travelers with lower fares on the weekend.

October also has several National Month of’s in the supermarket. This month it’s Pizza, Popcorn, and Seafood. So look for coupons that you can combine with sales on these items to save more.

If you’re a camper, retailers will be marking down  sleeping bags, camp chairs, and gear for your outdoor adventure.

Drink wine? Look for sales as the stores make room for the Fall harvest stock.
