If you’ve found red wine stains on your tablecloth or carpeting you can rescue this oops by using hydrogen peroxide. First, blot the stain with a clean cloth. In a spray bottle (get one at the Dollar Store) combine 1/2 cup of peroxide and a squirt of dish liquid. Spritz the stain. Now blot with a clean sponge or cloth if needed. The detergents in the soap will lift the stain out while the peroxide breaks up the discoloration because it is a mild bleaching agent. Always test color-fastness in an inconspicuous area first.
