If you are not an egg eater but do buy a dozen to have on hand for cooking and recipes, you can extend the life of those eggs if you coat the shells of the room temperature eggs with coconut oil. Then store in the refrigerator. The coconut oil creates a seal that keeps the eggs from being exposed to oxygen and they will last longer.
