If you store your household batteries in a junk drawer with other necessary junk, possibly metal ones, this could effect the lasting power of them. If the positive end comes in contact with metal OR other batteries it can deplete the power. You can avoid this by securing loose batteries with a rubber band and storing them away from any metal objects. Get the power you paid for.
