Tip of the Day: Proper Bread Storage = Longevity
If you would like your bread to last longer proper storage is the answer! To prevent packaged, soft-crusted bread, (like Wonder Bread) from getting moldy or stale keep it at room temperature. If you store it in the refrigerator it will dry out and if you keep it in warm areas (near an oven) it will speed up the growth of mold. Keep hard-crusted, fresh-baked bread in a paper bag. This keeps moisture from making it chewy. If after all this you still have stale bread turn it into croutons or breadcrumbs.
