Tip of the Day: Pets Have Fleas? Sprinkle Salt on the Carpet

If your cat or dog has fleas chances are their eggs are in your carpeting. To rid this liberally sprinkle salt over your carpets and let sit overnight. In the morning, vacuum thoroughly and empty the bag or canister outdoors into your garbage. The salt acts as a dehydrating agent to kill the fleas and their eggs.
