Winter is winding down, but it will always be a reminder when you look at your leather shoes and boots. You see those ugly, white salt lines and rings that decorate your footwear. To clean these so they’ll be ready for your next outing or next year, mix equal parts of distilled white vinegar and water. Dip a cloth into this solution and dab the stains. This will dissolve the salt. Rinse off with a damp cloth and wipe dry. Allow your shoes to air dry, then polish and buff them. DO NOT use this solution on suede! If this happens again, wipe your boots, etc immediately with a damp sponge.
