Your clothes dryer needs maintenance just like other appliances. We tend to forget this as long as our clothing come out dry! A MUST is to clean the lint filter after every use. This is a potential fire hazard! Next check your outdoor exhaust every few months to be sure it is not clogged and the cover opens and closes. Try to remove any lint with a brush or vacuum. Inside your home, about once a year, carefully,  pull the dryer away from the wall. Unplug the electricity, NOT the gas hook up, and remove the duct between the dryer and the wall. Vacuum or brush out any lint that has collected. Dust off the back of the appliance too. This will keep your dryer and you safe and will prolong its lifetime.
