If you turn off the heated dry cycle on your dishwasher you can save BIG on your electric bill. I know you are thinking that the dishes won’t dry, but a solution would be to turn on the dishwasher in the evening, say while you are watching TV or reading and then, open the door a crack before you go to bed so the dishes will air-dry overnight. In the morning just put the dry dishes away.
