You may not realize it, but those comfortable hand-warmers are a hotbed for germs! You expose yourself to germs on your commute, at the coffee shop, in any public place, even at work. Think how many times you touch your face, eyes, and nose while wearing gloves! The only germ killer is heat. You must wash cloth gloves once a week. If the fabric allows, toss them in with your regular wash. If they are material that will shrink, just tossing them in the dryer for 45 minutes or so will do the trick. For synthetics, wipe off often with sanitizing wipes. For leather gloves, carefully wipe down with a combo of warm water and saddle soap each week. When they need a deep cleaning, take leather gloves to a professional dry cleaner. When you swipe any commuting or security cards its a good idea to remove your gloves before hand.
