Winter is hard on our furry babies especially the ones that travel on salted sidewalks. To prevent the hassle it takes to rinse their paws you can try making a wash kit. Keep this handy so it can be used as soon as you come inside from your walk: Add a few sponge pieces cut 1″ x 1″ into a jar or container. Fill with warm water and a few drops of either pet shampoo or baby shampoo. Keep a clean dry towel nearby. Upon entering your home, gently swish each paw into this mixture and dry with the towel. This will remove any harmful chemicals that your pet may ingest or that may burn the sensitive pads on their paws.
