Tip of the Day: Keep Bananas Fresh Longer with Duct Tape!

If you can’t eat bananas faster than they ripen, try wrapping the stems with duct tape! The stems emit ethylene gas, which is what cause bananas to ripen too fast. By covering the stems you will keep the gas from reaching the rest of the fruit.
